Hello

I am a young Luxembourger living in New York City, who is trying to make sense of the world around her. Here are glimpses of my journey.

Standing In Line - Thoughts in an Urban Metropolis

Hallelujah you played

Gold tokens, ends meet made

Propensities for conspicuous consumption fade

Your accordion you play, those halcyon days

The line to the palace, ostentation prevails

Carlos the III built to impress, hail

To your king before your monarch goes frail

Fascism bellowed from the Greek balconies

Prosperous murmurs, suffering for peace

Forget the decorum and praise

Even Napoleon gave to this maze

To toil through a republic, nationalistic veins

Tradition survives

Respect and pride

Necessary relics of the Lord of Flies
